Waterproof Transparent Bandage

Use waterproof and transparent bandages or films that will keep the liniment in place and protect the area.

Directions

Step 1: Prepare the Liniment

Shake the bottle to ensure the ingredients are well distributed.

Step 2: Wash your hands

Always start with clean hands to minimise the risk of contamination

Step 3: Clean and dry the affected area

If you are applying the liniment to the skin, clean the area gently with mild soap and water. Pat it dry with a clean dry towel. Ensure the skin is completely dry before proceeding.

Step 4: Soak the gauze

Pour a small amount of the liniment onto a sterile gauze pad. You want the gauze to be damp with the liniment but not dripping.

Step 5: Apply the liniment-soaked gauze:

Place the liniment soaked gauze directly onto the affected area. Ensure that the gauze covers the entire area that requires treatment.

Step 6: Secure with a waterproof transparent bandage

After applying the liniment soaked gauze, cover it with a waterproof transparent bandage. This will help keep the gauze in place and prevent the liniment from evaporating too quickly. Make sure the bandage fully covers the gauze and extends beyond the edges of the gauze to ensure a proper seal.

Step 7: Smooth out any wrinkles

Carefully smooth out any wrinkles or air bubbles under the transparent bandage to ensure proper adhesion and a tight seal

Step 8: Dispose of used materials

Properly dispose of any used gauze pads, liniment-soaked materials and packaging according to local disposal guidelines.

Step 9: Wash your hands again

After completing the application, wash your hands thoroughly to remove any liniment residue

Step 10: Length of time to soak

No more than 30 minutes to soak. If you have sensitive skin, start with 15 minutes. Then work your way up to what you can tolerate. Do not wash off as it is still absorbing. Use moisturiser as the liniment can dry the skin.
